BODRUZAL: Church of St. Nicolas (1658)

Zväčšiť mapu
St. Nicolas belongs to the most respected saint persons of the Eastern church. On the icons he is shown in the bishop clothes. It is a typical three-roomed log building with three towers and a shingle roof. The size of the towers is bigger towards the west. The whole complex is surrounded by a wooden fencing with a little shingle roof. In the 90's of the 20th century the altar and the iconostasis from the 18th century were reconstructed. In the central part of the church in so called "nave" the paintings from the 18th century are well saved. The service has been held in the church up today. It belongs to the most picturesque wooden churches in Eastern Slovakia.
